Logitech G25 converted into JL-G25

The G25 Force Feedback steering wheel from Logitech offers a very good basis for high end conversion.
The total mechanical construction was newly developed. The play free and quiet toothed belt transmission and steering control shaft include 8 ball bearings. The alignment of the motors is such that these are free of tensile force from the toothed belt gearbox, thus enhancing the life of the motors.
The transmission ratio of the original G25 gearbox was enhanced. This results in a reduction of the maximum steering angle from 900° to 576° and an increase of the maximum torque force on the steering wheel. The resolution of the steering angle signals and thereby
the precision was increased by 36% through this
change.

The engineering mechanics of the paddle shifters is
also totally new. These operate precisely and with a
realistic pressure point, almost eliminating
unintentional gear changes. Depending on the variant
chosen, the steering wheel is delivered with eight
additional buttons. This buttons are connected to its
own high resolution (4096 steps) USB controller
BU0836A which in addition has eight analog inputs to
e.g. operate a pedal set.

Utilized from the Logitech G25 are: the motors one of which carries the steering angle sensor, the PCB
with motherboard as well as cables and sockets. The steering wheel functions with the original Logitech drivers, the Logitech pedals and the Logitech
gearshift lever and control panel.

Sample of a custom made version. The genuine G25 pedals input has been connected to the BU0836A USB controller. In this case ECCI pedals can be connected direct to the wheel.
